The Basic Boat Canvas class introduces you to boat canvas fabrication with a hands-on approach to learning. You will fabricate your own project from start to finish during the week of training.
Some of your week is spent learning about materials, thread, fasteners, zippers, tubing, fittings and tools of the trade. The rest of the week you spend making a bimini top w/enclosure or convertible top w/enclosure. Your project will include designing and bending the frames, patterning using the "dot system", cutting and sewing your project, and then final installation.
No previous experience is needed. Class size is up to 6 people.
We are now offering class auditing opportunities. This means you can attend the Basic Boat Canvas, Advanced Boat Canvas or Boat Upholstery at a reduced price. At the lower price you are allowed to watch and take notes only but not participate in the fabrication process of projects.
