FULL COVER

Full covers are made to cover the whole boat from side to side and bow to stern. They typically have a draw string under the rub rail to keep it snug. Full covers also have "tie down" straps at intervals along the sides and stern of the cover to secure it to the trailer and keep the cover taught side to side.

This training video has three chapters. The first chapter,  "Measuring a Full Cover", details the process of taking measurements on the boat to make a "blank"  of material for patterning and for estimating the cost.

The second chapter, "Patterning a Full Cover",  shows the process of marking the "blank" of material. It details where to mark for seam allowances, reinforcement patches and darts.

The third chapter, "Making a Full Cover",  details the cutting and sewing of the cover and final installation.

You can purchase this subject in DVD format for $74. It is also available for purchase or one week rental in download format.
